“The View” to Celebrate “One Life to Live” Finale with Special Episode

“The View” will send off “One Life to Live” with an entire episode on January 13, 2012 – the day the soap opera airs the final show of its 43-year run.

Creator Agnes Nixon and longtime cast member Erika Slezak will be on hand, and “The View” will have footage from the final days of taping on “One Life to Live.”

There will also be interviews with various cast members, past and present.

Amid much controversy, “One Life to Live” was canceled by ABC as part of a shift away from daytime soaps to panel talk shows.

Fellow long-running soap “All My Children” ended in September.
