“The View” Reacts: Kellyanne Conway Says Microwaves Used For Spying (VIDEO)
On Monday’s “The View,” the co-hosts reacted to Kellyanne Conway saying microwaves can be used for spying. Watch below.
In a recent interview, Conway was asked about Donald Trump’s wire-tapping claims against Barack Obama. She essentially dodged the question by talking about spying in general, saying people spy through phones, television sets and even “microwaves that turn into cameras.” The counselor to the president has since been mocked for the remark, and that continued now on the ABC talk show.
“You know, I think my dishwasher called me a bitch yesterday,” quipped Joy Behar. But for Sunny Hostin, it was also no laughing matter. She commented, “You know what was scary about that is her answer was in response to the question about our former president possibly wire-tapping Trump, which means they’re trying to call President Obama a felon. And in response to that, you talk about microwaves?!”
As a former prosecutor who actually used wire-taps in investigations, Hostin pointed out, “We didn’t have microwaves on our warrants.” Sara Haines also ripped the Trump administration for not providing any proof to back up its spying allegations. “When you lay out a claim that has these kinds of repercussions, it’s no longer tweets without consequence,” she said.
Jedediah Bila was also critical of Conway’s response, saying, “There’s people that really have legitimate privacy concerns. Don’t bring that issue into this one, because these are two separate issues. When someone asks you a direct question about an investigation, you need to have an answer… Don’t divert. You are responsible for that.”
As Gossip Cop reported earlier, Conway appeared on the “Today” show Monday morning to further discuss the issue. Check out “The View” video below.
