The Situation Sues Abercrombie & Fitch for Publicity Ploy and Trademark Infringement

Abercrombie & Fitch has got themselves into a bit of a Situation.
“Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino just filed a lawsuit against the company, which over the summer publicly offered him money to stop wearing its clothes.
In his suit, Sorrentino claims Abercrombie infringed on The Situation and GTL (gym, tan, laundry) trademarks through its publicity ploy and sale of shirts with such sayings as “The Fitchuation” and “GTL…You Know The Deal.”
As you’ll recall, Abercrombie’s stunt backfired in a big way, but that wasn’t enough to quell the Sitch’s rage over being publicly humiliated by the brand.
He’s seeking $4,000,000 in damages.
