Busting bad dish!

The Situation Sues Abercrombie & Fitch for Publicity Ploy and Trademark Infringement

Truth rating: 10

Abercrombie & Fitch has got themselves into a bit of a Situation.

“Jersey Shore” star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino just filed a lawsuit against the company, which over the summer publicly offered him money to stop wearing its clothes.

In his suit, Sorrentino claims Abercrombie infringed on The Situation and GTL (gym, tan, laundry) trademarks through its publicity ploy and sale of shirts with such sayings as “The Fitchuation” and “GTL…You Know The Deal.”

As you’ll recall, Abercrombie’s stunt backfired in a big way, but that wasn’t enough to quell the Sitch’s rage over being publicly humiliated by the brand.

He’s seeking $4,000,000 in damages.

What do you think about The Situation’s lawsuit?

    he’s got a case…but i still think he’s an idiot

I understand if Abercrombie dont want Situation (what the heck kind of a name is that anyway??) to wear their clothes. but in that case, stop using him to make money, dont use him in any way to promote your sales, dont use him in any shape or form on your clothes!!!
As much as it pains me to say it, I think Abercrombie is in the wrong side here!

yes, A&F were wrong, they made money on the Situation for that PLOY AND don’t they have a shirt named the ‘situation’? If you are going to use someone like that, let them in on it …. will save alot of money along the way.

i understand why he’s mad but they started and stop selling the shirts before he got the trademark, so therefore that cancels out. you cannot sue someone over past sales. and yeah he’s a scum and who would want THAT (yeah he might as well not even be human, hes disgusting) endorsing a brand like abercrombie and fitch, which has hot people selling their clothes and situation is just a giant walking STD with no education

Gossip Cop didn’t you about a week ago say that the Situation is broke? It sounds like a desperate attempt to get money. I don;t believe he is mad about anything. He obviously loves the attention. He probably just needs money.
