The Situation Confirms Rehab for “Prescription Medication Problem”

The Situation has entered rehab for addiction to prescription pills.

Mike Sorrentino, whose hard-partying has been well-chronicled on “Jersey Shore,” reportedly checked into the renowned Cirque Lodge in Utah for an inpatient treatment program.

In a statement on Tuesday, Sitch’s rep acknowledged that he has spent the past several weeks in treatment “for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule.”

The reality star informed fans on his blog Wednesday, “I have voluntarily taken steps to get control of a prescription medication problem I had due to exhaustion.”

Sitch is still expected to participate in the MTV show’s upcoming sixth season, which is slated to go into production this summer.

    How is it going to be a good season with snooki pregnant and mike in rehab? They both can’t drink and as much as it sucks him being around drinkers is not a good idea especially if he’s just going to be fresh out of the rehab center. Its just more the likley that he’s going to be an alcoholic again.
    With everyone all going their seperate ways I don’t see this show going on for another season then the one they just signed up for. With all that said, though I don’t like any of them I hope that mike gets better and snooki congrats on being a mom.

    I would assume that most of these kids had problems before they were cast on the show. Of course the fame is going to make it worse. But a with anything with these reality stars, I don’t believe this is real. If it was, I think he would (should) have nothing to do with the next season. All they do is drink.
