UPDATE: Sorrentino ‘fessed up to pulling a prank earlier on Monday. “Phone blew up haha good thing it wasn’t mine!! That will teach@petey_d_ to mess with the master of pranks!” he tweeted with the hashtag “#pranksgiving.”

Mike Sorrentino claimed he had a situation.

The “Jersey Shore” star said he accidentally tweeted his cell phone number to his 1.4 million Twitter followers on Monday, then followed up the supposed gaffe with a string of jokes on his The Situation nickname.

It all started when Sorrentino tweeted, “Yeah babe call me maybe: 732-939-2906-dm, don’t give out , Sitch.”

The somewhat suspicious message was followed by an “Oo sh:::t… By accident.”

Rather than delete the original tweet, Sorrentino began retweeting followers who joked about his “mistake.”

He wrote, “My phone is ringing off the hook… We def have a Situation.”

Sorrentino added, “Phone does not Stop ringing… Ahhh fuxk me… Luv u guys btw lmao.”

He then wrote, “Phone company called : he’s like u got a situation buddy , I’m like thanks man but I’m the Situation !”

And so on.

Stunt? Snafu?
