VIDEO: ‘The Osbournes’ Is Coming Back!
“The Osbournes” is coming back. Sharon Osbourne announced on Tuesday’s “The Talk” that MTV is going to revive the hit reality show starring her, husband Ozzy, and children Kelly and Jack, nearly a decade after it left the air.
“It’s not as much coming back as a proper series as [much as] an update,” explained Osbourne. “At most, there will be six to eight episodes, and it’s a catch-up on our lives and where we are now, because it’s been so long since we’ve been seen as a family, and our family has grown.”
The host emphasized that it was Ozzy’s idea to return. She said, “It was all my husband’s doing. He looked back on his life, and he said, ‘I wish we could have done ‘The Osbournes’ now when I’m clean and sober.'” Ozzy is gearing up for his final tour with Black Sabbath, and Sharon says there will be “lots” of ground to cover on the new show.
“The Osbournes” originally ran from 2002 to 2005, winning an Emmy and helping to create the marketplace for family-centric reality series like “Keeping Up with the Kardashians.” Check out the video of Sharon’s announcement below, and tell us what you think.
