NBC is developing a spin-off from “The Office.”

The new series would focus around Rainn Wilson’s character Dwight Schrute and his family’s bed & breakfast and beet farm.

The premise will be introduced in an “Office” episode slated to air later this year.

The spin-off, if picked up as a series, would likely air in early 2013.

Deadline was first to report the news.

    I have loved The Office since day 1, but I think this will be a terrible idea. It seems the fans can only take Dwight in small doses.
