“The New Normal,” an upcoming comedy from “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy, is embroiled in controversy even before its premiere.

As Gossip Cop reported, NBC’s affiliate in Salt Lake City has decided not to air the show — and some conservative groups are protesting it — because the series features a gay couple having a child through surrogacy.

    The pilot was hilarious, and I definitely plan to keep
    watching the show! I work Tuesday nights at Dish though, so I’ll have to rely
    on my DVR to record it for me. Luckily, I won’t have to worry about it since my
    Hopper DVR comes with the PrimeTime Any Time feature, which auto-records
    everything on the major networks during primetime hours. I wish those people
    could get past whatever hang-ups they have and realize that it’s a funny series
    about family.
