If only it was a re-imagining rather than a rehash this film might be worth checking out. As it is, the original was a classic piece of genre film making, right up there with The Maltese Falcon as an adaptation–and this is just a regurgitation.

I loved the books… the movie was awful??

THIS movie looks “awful”, in my opinion the original film(s) was superb! Even with sub-titles, I prefer it.

I don’t think this looks very good but I’ve never read the books or seen the foreign movies. David Fincher directed it though, and not a single movie by him that I’ve seen has disappointed me yet so I might see it.

Well I really enjoyed the books, so I hope the movie doesn’t totally destroy it. I wouldn’t mind seeing the foreign version if you think it would be better. I’ll try it out. =)

I loved the books. The original film was excellent. Don’t know why they had to make a remake so quickly. We’ll see…after all David Fincher directed it.

This version will most assuredly be a better adaptation. If anyone do this book justice it’s David Fincher. I own all of the movies and aside from Noomi Rapace, they felt flat in a lot of places.

I don’t see the point of reworking this film. The original had English subs for a reason. Sadly some people are just to lazy to bother using them.

You should defiantly check out the foreign version :) I enjoyed all 3 of them
