The Color of Time Trailer

The Color of Time has its first trailer. James Franco stars in the dreamy, time-shifting film, based on the poetry of CK Williams. Mila Kunis plays Franco’s character’s wife, and Jessica Chastain portrays his mother in flashbacks.

The movie was directed by 12 different people, working from 11 separate poems to create a coherent storyline. Franco, of course, has a thing for poetry. In addition to publishing his own collection, he previously portrayed poet Hart Crane in The Broken Tower and Allen Ginsberg in Howl.

According to the official plot synopsis for his latest dive into a poetic life, The Color of Time follows Franco, playing Williams, as he “struggles to create new work” and “is haunted by memories of his past — from his first sexual encounter to a later tragic loss.”

Bruce Campbell, Henry Hopper and Zach Braff are also featured in The Color of Time, which is slated to hit theaters in select cities next month. Check out the trailer below, and tell us what you think.
