The Band Perry Rio Olympics “Today” Show Concert Video – Watch Performance!
The Band Perry performed a special concert at the Rio Olympics on Thursday for the “Today” show. Watch below!
While a number of athletes and reporters opted to skip this year’s games out of concerns over the Zika virus in Brazil, The Band Perry specifically went to the country for this one-of-a-kind concert. Held at Copacabana Beach, the group performed on a makeshift stage in front of a number of Olympic medalists.
The concert set included the 2015 song, “Live Forever.” This past May, it was picked to be the official song of Team USA for this year’s Olympics. The track’s lyrics include, “This time, I want it all/I want it right now, feel the fall/Go, go crazy, go, go, go crazy/We’re gonna live, we’re gonna live forever.”
The Band Perry also performed its latest single, “Comeback Kid,” on TV for the first time. The song just came out at the very end of July. Like “Live Forever,” it will be featured on an upcoming album, the trio’s first since leaving Republic Nashville and signing with Interscope Records.
A release date for the new record has not yet been announced, but the Rio Olympics concert sure looked like a good way to get people pumped for it. Check out the videos below!
