Andi Dorfman and her three remaining suitors traveled to the Dominican Republic on Monday’s episode of “The Bachelorette.”
Fresh off her hometown dates, Dorfman spent quality time alone with Josh, Nick and Chris — but not all of the guys made it to the Fantasy Suite at the end of their respective dates.
Nick’s date with Dorfman began with a helicopter tour of the tropical locale, with the two ending up at their very own private island.
They frolicked and kissed in the ocean before enjoying a picnic on the beach.
Dorfman broached the topic of Nick’s past breakup, which she learned was a lot harder on him than she had previously thought.
Nick confessed to not wanting to talk to anyone for six months after it happened.
Later, they enjoyed a romantic dinner on the beach where Nick read Dorfman a fairytale he had written for her about their romance.
When asked whether they wanted to forgo their individual rooms for the Fantasy Suite in a letter from Chris Harrison, they both agreed.
Before they moved their date to the new locale, Nick was sure to pour his heart out to Dorfman, telling her not only that he loves her, but what he loves about her.
On Josh’s date with Dorfman, the two met in Santo Domingo where they explored the city and played baseball with a group of local kids.
Josh told Dorfman that he is in love with her, even though it is hard because he knows she can’t say anything back.
“I don’t care, he told her. “I am going to let you know and that is how it is. I feel stuff with you and that is all that matters to me.”
They had a romantic dinner later that night at a luxurious resort where Josh confessed that he was once worried that Dorfman assumed he was cocky and would send him home on the first night.
Josh said “absolutely” to the Fantasy Suite invitation from Harrison, and Dorfman also said yes. Fireworks literally went off as they headed to their shared room.
Chris and Dorfman kicked off their date by riding horses in the Dominican countryside.
Chris was once again a gentleman as he helped Dorfman onto her horse. The former assistant district attorney started to panic as her horse started to trot a litter faster than she liked, but Chris helped ease her fears.
The two played “Ghost in the Graveyard” just like they did during their hometown date.
Dorfman was feeling apprehensive about having an overnight date with Chris because she was worried they weren’t at that point in their relationship yet.
That night, Dorfman told Chris she was at a “crossroads” with him because she wasn’t sure they were a match.
“There is not one thing about you I would even imagine wanting to change,” he said to her before telling her he loved her.
Dorfman broke down in tears and explained that she couldn’t see herself in Chris’ hometown in Iowa because she didn’t believe that their relationship had a strong “foundation.”
“I guess I just have more respect for you than to just blame it on Iowa,” she explained.
“I don’t think it’s fair to make you wait and sit here for days and wait for a rose ceremony,” she tearfully told Chris before sending him home.
Dorfman admitted that she felt like an “idiot” for not being able to reciprocate Chris’ feelings because he is such a great guy.
Chris reminded a tearful Dorfman that she made the right decision, saying it “just wasn’t meant to be.”
He was sadly left in the limo wondering “what the hell just happened.”
The next day, Dorfman explained to Harrison that she believed she did the right thing when she let Chris go.
At the rose ceremony, Dorfman gave Nick and Josh the final two roses, and they both accepted.
Next week, ABC will air the “Men Tell All” special, with the finale taking place on July 28.
What do you think of Dorfman’s decision to send Chris home?
