America’s most important selection process starts right now – and it has nothing to do with the presidential campaign.

“The Bachelor” premieres tonight, with 25 young women competing for Ben Flajnik’s love.

There will, of course, be drama aplenty.

But who are the new contestants?

    Just from this “preview,” I can’t decide if this show should be classified under horror or comedy. Maybe they should stop casting girls that already have the ‘bitchface.’ Yeah it’s all for entertainment or whatever but I don’t personally find fake drama to be entertaining.

    After the ongoing mess with Jake and Vienna through several spin-offs, (won’t they ever go away?) I have finally stopped watching. I want to see romance, not the mean-spirited, twisted self-promotional garbage that now calls itself “The Bacherlor/Bacherlorette.” It’s lost its innocence and is now nothing but a game show. The final rose could just as easily be chosen with a dart board.

    It makes me sad at the loss of the original purpose which was charming and made us all wish for the “happy ending” everyone desires.
