“That ’70s Show” Reunion Show In The Works?
Are “That ’70s Show” cast members working on a reunion show? That’s the claim in one of this week’s tabloids. But is it true?
According to the National Enquirer, several stars of the hit series are “secretly planning a remake.” The supermarket tabloid quotes a so-called “insider” as saying, “Ashton Kutcher loved working with Danny Masterson and Wilmer Valderrama on the Netflix show ‘The Ranch’ so much that they are putting ideas together for a ‘That ’70s Show’ reunion show.” The magazine goes on to allege that Mila Kunis will “have a part,” and that Kutcher is “still trying to get Laura Prepon to sign on.” Topher Grace, however, has no interest in being involved, claims the outlet.
While it’s true that many of the original cast members are still close, and that Kutcher and Masterson had a blast with Valderrama when he appeared on “The Ranch,” no one is currently “putting ideas together” for a remake of “That ’70s Show,” which ran on FOX from 1998 through 2006. Gossip Cop approached numerous sources connected to the stars of the series, and not one could confirm the tabloid’s tale. Many flat-out said it was “not true.”
Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised by the falsity of the report. Gossip Cop has busted the Enquirer on numerous occasions for stories about the show’s stars, including an article more than a year ago that wrongly alleged Kunis wanted to divorce Kutcher. Gossip Cop suggests that while many episodes of “That ’70s Show” involved inhaling, don’t hold your breath for a reunion show.
