Texas Chainsaw 3D Slashes Its Way To #1

BOX OFFICETexas Chainsaw 3D slashed its way to a surprise #1 box office debut.
The sequel/reboot of the classic horror flick Texas Chainsaw Massacre earned $23 million in theaters this weekend.
Coming in second with $20.1 million was Django Unchained, and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey nabbed third place with $17.5 million.
Les Miserables and Billy Crystal and Bette Midler’s family comedy Parental Guidance took fourth and fifth places with $16.1 million and $10.1 million, respectively.
Rounding out the Top 10 were Jack Reacher ($9.3 million), This Is 40 ($8.6 million), Lincoln ($5.3 million), The Guilt Trip ($4.5 million), and Promised Land ($4.3 million).
