Terry Crews Tweets Phone Number
Terry Crews tweeted his phone number to his 442,000 Twitter followers on Tuesday. See photo below.
At exactly 2:30 p.m. Eastern, a message on Crews’ account was sent reading, “You’re RIGHT man– XXX-XXX-XXXX I LOVE to see people make it happen! God bless.” It’s likely the tweet was accidental, and that Crews was intending to send a private direct message. Gossip Cop has chosen to block out the exact numbers in the screengrab below.
Perhaps due to his relatively low follower account, Crews’ tweet only had 7 retweets and 17 favorites 20 minutes later. Still, some tried calling. “I called and you didn’t answer terry,” wrote one person. Gossip Cop’s call, intended to alert Crews to the mistake, also went unanswered, but we did reach his voicemail, which confirmed it was “Terry.”
Upon a second try, the mailbox was full. Others fans, though, seemed perplexed by the tweet, asking, “….did @terrycrews just tweet his phone #?,” and “is this your phone number.” Another individual was quite concerned, writing to the actor, “Oh no, Mr. Crews what have you done! That’s not your phone number right?”
Crews’ fan base has grown significantly over the last year, thanks to “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.” As Gossip Cop reported, the star also co-hosted NBC’s New Year’s Eve special last December, and won “Lip Sync Battle” against Mike Tyson earlier this year. Of course, he’s not the first celebrity to have a cell phone number mishap with Twitter, and he surely won’t be the last. See screengrab below.
