On Thursday, RadarOnline reported that “federal agents” had allegedly “raided” Joe and Teresa Giudice’s house in New Jersey this week. According to the outlet’s supposed “exclusive,” officials seized the couple’s property to satisfy outstanding restitution payments connected to the Giudices’ criminal fraud. But the RadarOnline story was fabricated.

There are lots of explosive details, all of them made up. A so-called source tells the site, “Plasma televisions, expensive jewelry, cash, and even the kids’ Christmas presents were taken.” The RadarOnline insider adds, “Teresa was home and was absolutely stunned by the raid. She had no clue they were coming. She was absolutely hysterical, and begging them not to take the girls’ Christmas presents.”

“She is absolutely devastated that there won’t be any Christmas presents for their girls,” continues the webloid’s source. Wow. What a dramatic scene. Except it never happened.

Just like RadarOnline’s recent report that Giudice was filming a Christmas special for fans, or the site’s claim that she is filming a new “Real Housewives” season, there’s no truth to it.

Mark Reilly, a spokesperson for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, tells Gossip Cop the report is “not true.” He adds, “We have not gone out there, and we haven’t sent anyone out there. We do not know where this came from.” The story is “not based on reality,” we’re told. Reilly explained that this kind of action would not happen, since federal authorities have already worked out an arrangement with the Giudices for restitution.
