Teresa Giudice Pulled Over By Police, Manages To Avoid Probation Violation
Teresa Giudice was pulled over by police this week, and narrowly managed to avoid a probation violation.
As Gossip Cop reported, Giudice was released from prison on December 23 after spending almost a year behind bars for bankruptcy and mortgage fraud. The terms of her release called for home confinement until February 5, as well as probation. She has been able to leave her home, however, for outings and events approved in advance by her parole officer.
That included stepping out Thursday night for sister-in-law Melissa Gorga’s Envy By Melissa store opening in Montclair, New Jersey (see photo right). The party marked Giudice’s first red carpet appearance since her prison release. But it was also almost her last.
According to TMZ, Giudice had a 10 p.m. curfew, and urged her Uber drive to speed in order to get her home in time. Along the way, though, they were pulled over by a cop for driving above the speed limit. The site claims, however, that Giudice took responsibility for the driver’s pace, and explained to the officer why they were rushing.
Luckily for her, the police officer was sympathetic to her plight, and let them continue on their way, allowing Giudice to make it home just before curfew. It’s unclear if the reality star’s oldest daughter Gia, who attended the event with her, was also in the vehicle.
