Teresa Giudice Breaks Silence On Prison Sentence: “I Was Shocked” (VIDEO)
Teresa Giudice is breaking her silence on her 15-month prison sentence, confessing that she was “shocked” at the judge’s decision. As Gossip Cop reported, on Thursday the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star and husband Joe were both ordered to serve lengthy, non-concurrent punishments behind bars for fraud crimes.
The couple sat down with Andy Cohen on Friday to tape an exclusive interview, airing Monday night on a special edition of “Watch What Happens Live.” In the first clips released from the show, Giudice says she was “so nervous” in court that she was “shaking.” “My nerves were pulling. At one point, I couldn’t even move my fingers. They were like stuck. I couldn’t open my hands. My nerves were shot,” she tells Cohen.
The reality star goes on, “I, of course, I was shocked. I mean, it was very unexpected. I don’t even know what to say.” The host asks Giudice if she’s “been in denial,” and she reiterates what she told the judge: “It’s time for me to wake up.”
Giudice, looking tired and sad and holding Joe’s hand, shares that she’s most concerned about her four young daughters, particularly 13-year-old Gia, who is old enough to have some sense of what’s going on. Gia has vowed to help her dad care for her sisters while Giudice is incarcerated first, telling her mother that it will help prepare her for when she is one day a mom myself. “That broke my heart when she said that,” says Giudice.
The TV personality, who canceled a meet-andgreet in the wake of the news, is expected to surrender on January 5. Check out the videos below, and tell us what you think.
