Teresa Giudice NOT Filming Christmas Special To “Say Goodbye”
Teresa Giudice is NOT filming a Christmas special to “say goodbye” to her fans before beginning her 15-month prison sentence, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can bust this rumor, which began on Tuesday when one webloid falsely claimed Bravo offered the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star at least $250,000 to film the holiday send-off.
According to RadarOnline, Giudice accepted the offer because she’s worried about how she’s going to buy Christmas gifts for her four daughters. A so-called “source” tells the webloid that Giudice “didn’t want to cut back” on their extravagant presents. RadarOnline’s alleged “insider” also notes that the special will give Giudice a way to “say goodbye to her fans” before she enters prison in January.
It sounds like a touching story, except for the fact that it is not true. A Bravo spokesperson tells Gossip Cop “there is no truth to this report.”
As Gossip Cop previously reported, Giudice was sentenced to 15 months in prison for fraud charges on October 2, while her husband Joe will spend 41 months behind bars. The couple was also ordered to pay $414,888 in restitution. Prior to their sentencing, Teresa and Joe pleaded guilty to bankruptcy fraud, conspiracy to commit mail fraud and wire fraud, and failing to pay taxes between 2004-2008.
RadarOnline has frequently had trouble reporting on the “Real Housewives” franchise. The outlet once falsely claimed the entire “Real Housewives of New York City” cast was being fired when Aviva Drescher was the only person to be let go. The webloid also fabricated a story about “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Brandi Glanville refusing to participate in a dramatic on-air intervention held by her co-star Kim Richards.
