Teresa Giudice Cancels Meet And Greet In Wake Of Prison Sentence (PHOTOS)
Teresa Giudice has canceled a public appearance in the wake of getting sentenced to jail last week. As Gossip Cop reported, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star was ordered to serve 15 months in prison next year for fraud crimes.
She was still scheduled to promote her Fabellini Wine on Wednesday at a New Jersey restaurant, where she would sign autographs and pose for photos — see flyer right.
But on Saturday, Giudice took to Twitter to say she’s no longer participating in the meet and greet. In her first tweet since the court session, Giudice wrote, “Hi, I just want to be clear there will be no Fabellini appearance this week. Stay Tune for further appearance announcements.”
The event’s promoter also released a statement on Facebook saying, “Due to the recent, very unfortunate circumstances at hand, #TERESAGIUDICE will Not be appearing at Bibi’z Restaurant & Lounge on October 8th. This event is Canceled. Disregard flyer below. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope you all understand. Have a safe weekend.” The restaurant had previously said Giudice planned to “honor her commitment.”
Giudice, however, and her husband Joe — who was sentenced to 41 months — are still moving ahead with their “Watch What Happens Live” interview. In fact, it’s already been taped. Andy Cohen posted a teaser photo on Instagram on Friday — see below. “Just spent a few hours interviewing Teresa & Joe Guidice. See it Monday night on Bravo,” he wrote. The discussion will be the couple’s first comments on their sentences. What do you think of Giudice canceling her restaurant appearance?
