Teen Mom Ending After 4 Seasons

“Teen Mom” is ending.

The fourth season of the show featuring the original quartet of MTV teen mother reality stars – Amber Portwood, Farrah Abraham, Maci Bookout and Catelynn Lowell – will be its last, the network has announced.

“They will continue to be a part of our MTV family, and we’re thankful to these brave young women for sharing their stories and helping to make a positive impact on teen pregnancy prevention,” the network explained in a statement first reported by Us Weekly.

But fans of the “Teen Mom” universe should not despair.

As Gossip Cop reported, “16 and Pregnant” is coming back with its own new season later this month, from which the brand-new cast of “Teen Mom 3″ will be selected.

Meanwhile, “Teen Mom 2″ is going strong, despite erroneous tabloid reports that Leah Messer and Jenelle Evans would quit over money issues.

In other words, expect the franchise to stick around for a while, even as the original foursome departs.

    They really should just cancel all of these shows (16 & Preg Teen Mom). I don’t care how many times Dr. Drew says ‘it’s informative’ no you are pushing kids into the spot like. You can name any of these girls and each and everyone of them has had some kind of issue. It’s so sad.

    I dont understand Why Parents are is teaching their teens about safe sex having a baby at 16 or any age under 25 will make is harder for you to succeed with life the number of white girls keeps growing on this show they all try to make it seem like the show is showing how hard it is to be a teen mom but they are getting paid so its not really the truth…. They should be out trying to find themselves become better people for their future have fun not being tied down to another teen and another human being! Being a mother is a wonderful thing but being a teen mom is so Dumb they are all so dumb!!

    bout time.. never watched this garbage anyway.. they get pregnant and it a tv show, what kind of shyt is this.. black kids do this shyt and they are labeled trashy, fast, whores that just want assistance and what’s the difference between these girls on tv.. not a damn thing.. teen pregnancy is not in.. have shows about that.. why not have shows about teens going to school, and getting into college!!

    They all managed to have beautiful babies. Will miss seeing Bentley, Sophia and Leah, but won’t miss the antics of their mothers especially that loser Amber. It’ll also be nice not having to hear Tyler and his needy girlfriend go on and on about a child they gave up for adoption. Move on people the child has parents and it’s not YOU!

    You’re right. It’d be more informative if they weren’t paid as much as they are to get plastic surgery and what not. If anything, it’s glamorizing it and some teens are probably thinking, “Maybe I can get knocked up & get on MTV!” Wouldn’t be surprised these days…

    I agree that 16 is too young, but I know plenty of people who carry on successful lives, careers and relationships all while having had children under the age of 25. They did not and do not struggle, nor has it affected them succeeding in life.

    What does skin color have anything to do with it? From the looks of your photo, I’m sure you wouldn’t like it if someone dragged the race card into situations that made your culture look bad.

    Being a mother is a wonderful thing but being a teen mom is so Dumb they are all so dumb!!

    Making the decision to have sex at a young age is dumb, but how many of us can sit here and criticize knowing we all did the same thing, It could have been any one of us.
    Judging by your horrific spelling, run on sentences, missing words and eagerness to insult white girls the moment you get a chance proves you are a judgmental, angry, uneducated and biased individual. See?

    You cannot possibly think you know someone based on a few things you read on the computer. The same way calling someone dumb based on what you THINK you know about them isn’t fair either.

    I agree with the race card being played. If it was a show with a more diverse, no matter which race it was, that race would be on these boards complaining that MTV is making them look bad! You can’t have it both ways. It makes me so angry that people say things like that! They have had all races on 16 and pregnant and no one knows why they are not on teen mom, maybe they are smart enough to know it would be a bad idea and a hard life to live with a new baby. It has nothing to do with race and I think anyone claiming that it is should probably go back and watch 16 and pregnant as all races are included in past shows.

    Damn not ONE positive remark about the cast or the show out of all these post? Firt off I wanna say Ive watched this show since day one, and LOVE the girls! YES they all have issues, SHOWING that teen pregnancy, is not all FUN & GAMES. Secondly, the original show, these girls DID NOT have any money, as they were still filming, and in the works of presenting the show to America…BUT , they have a right to be paid, for filming such a tough part of their life for all the world to see and comment! I think that it DEF shows the DOWNSIDEs to a teen pregnancy, and I do not believe girls are just “getting pregnant” to be on the show, bc NATIONAL teen pregnancy rates HAVE GONE DOWN since this show aired…IM not saying its BC of the show, but u cannot justify saying the show GLAMORIZES it, yet the statistics show otherwise~! Anyway , Catelynn & Tyler…I LOVE U GUYS < UR ADORABLE and SO MATURE for your age, Maci your a Great MOM, fARRAH..YOUR A GOOD MOM, but i gotta say, at the staRT of the show u were cool, and each year u seem to get bitchier and disrespectfulk to ur parents, so sometimes it hard to swallow, Amber…SMH< girl u need to get it together! Your on NATIONAL TV! I realize you need help, but im not so quick to feel sorry for you, BC with the help of MTV< you couldve gotten the best treatment available, and your still messing up! ALL the BABIES are GREAT! Bentley was SUPER FUNNY last night!

    It is very obvious according to all your biased comments that none of you have ever actually been a teen mom, good for you!… but having said that I highly doubt any of you are perfect (whether you have a history is drugs, choosing the wrong guys, or any other number of sins you may be commiting). I however was a teen mom and I know how hard it is. It is not a glamorous life. Its hard, I had to work my butt off to put myself through college, all while taking care of my son by myself (no child support, completely on my own… no government assistance). I have now graduated, got a great job, own my home, married a wonderful man and am having our 2nd child. You see, while you stand by and judge and act as if these girls ruined their lives, thats not true. Yes, its hard. Yes, they are far from perfect, but so are you. I know alot of 40 yr old moms who havent accomplished or become the mom I have. Age really doesnt have much to do with it. Its not right, but no sex outside of wedlock is right. Its all weighed equally in the eyes of the Lord. If your having sex before your married, which most girls these days do, you are just as guilty as those girls on tv who just happened to get pregnant. Dont judge someone you dont know, b/c I assure there is a lot more to their lives than what you see on tv.
