Ted Cruz Sex Scandal Allegations – See Craziest #CruzSexScandal Tweets
A tabloid report alleging Ted Cruz has had numerous past affairs set Twitter on fire on Friday after a Donald Trump supporter called out former Cruz communications director Amanda Carpenter, in a live interview on CNN, for supposedly having been involved with her former boss. The shocking moment caused the hashtag #CruzSexScandal to trend on Twitter. Now, Gossip Cop rounded up the craziest tweets using the #CruzSexScandal hashtag.
During a segment with CNN’s Kate Bolduan, the cable network’s anchor asked Trump supporter Adriana Cohen if she was ready for the feuding Republican candidates to move on. “Oh, absolutely I think we should move on. Where we should move to is the National Enquirer story that has reported that has Ted Cruz has had affairs with five mistresses, including you’ve been named as well, Amanda,” said Cohen to the surprise of Carpenter. Cohen continued during the tense TV exchange, “If we’re going call Donald Trump’s character into question, I would like Ted Cruz to issue a statement whether or not the National Enquirer story is true that he has had affairs with many women, including you were named, Amanda.” “Will you denounce this story or will you confirm it?” added Cohen.
Carpenter tersely replied, “What’s out there is tabloid trash. If someone wants to comment on it, they can talk to my lawyer.” She further said to Cohen, “It’s categorically false. You should be ashamed for spreading this smut. Donald Trump supporters should be held to account for it.”
Cruz eventually released a statement on Facebook that read, “I want to be crystal clear: these attacks are garbage. For Donald J. Trump to enlist his friends at the National Enquirer and his political henchmen to do his bidding shows you that there is no low Donald won’t go.” He continued, “These smears are completely false, they’re offensive to [my wife] Heidi and me, they’re offensive to our daughters, and they’re offensive to everyone Donald continues to personally attack.” “Donald Trump’s consistently disgraceful behavior is beneath the office we are seeking and we are not going to follow,” he concluded. Trump’s campaign has vehemently denied any involvement in the tabloid’s salacious story.
Still, Twitter users reacted to the report in a big way, using the hashtag #CruzSexScandal. Lesley Abravanel, a Miami Herald columnist, tweeted, “Popular consensus on #cruzsexscandal is shock that he was able to find five willing women with whom to sin.”A twitter user with the handle @leejkp added, “#CruzSexScandal been nicknamed as #CubanMistressCrisis is genius & hilarious.” And @Dixonshuman joked, “There’s depression, and then there’s ‘#TedCruz is getting laid more than you’ depression.”
A Trump supporter with the handle @Trump2016Donald, referencing President Bill Clinton’s sex scandal with Monica Lewinsky, wrote, “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, that woman, that woman, and… that woman. #cruzsexscandal” A user named @katemccabesays snarked, “This whole GOP primary is like a Shonda Rhimes show reenacted by unattractive people. #CruzSexScandal.” And another Twitter user with the account @WilliamAder cracked, “I’m guessing five women lost a bet. #CruzSexScandal.” Watch the eye-popping video below of the CNN moment between Adriana Cohen and Amanda Carpenter.
