Teary Jennifer Aniston story is the Pitts

The New York Post went with a story today that – like our Uncle Phil – is both old and wrong. According to the item headlined, “Scene’s the Pitts for Teary Jen,” a few weeks ago while filming “The Bounty” with Gerard Butler, Jennifer Aniston held up the production because she was having a crying fit in her trailer about her ex-husband Brad Pitt

The Post’s “source” says that when an assistant was dispatched to her trailer to get the star, a teary Aniston allegedly said, “I need a moment. This scene reminds me of Brad and me.” The paper says she eventually emerged from her trailer with a smile, though the “source” added, “privately she is still very fragile.”

First, why is this “news” coming to light several weeks later? And why didn’t the New York Post explain what the scene was about that reportedly got her all sad and misty? Possibly because the story, which has since been picked up by other outlets, isn’t true.

Aniston’s rep tells Gossip Cop “It is absolutely false,” and the paper still ran the story even though he had told them that.

Her people should start some lawsuits. These media people like to print lies about her. If they don’t get a picture of her for a few days they make something up. She’s an easy target because she’s not married with kids. I do recall seeing some pics where she looked teary eyed while filming The Bounty and it looked like a bit of comedy to me. She had her face all screwed up lol. Bet that is where they got this sh!t from.

Thank you for setting the record straight. I keep wondering when these offending publications are going to retract stories when they are proven to be wrong. I guess I am just naïve. It upsets me to see a story like this one continue to make the internet rounds after obvious debunking.

*sigh* Honestly, if Jennifer hadn’t of said the things she’s said in Vogue and GQ last year she wouldn’t be in this place. It’s too late now. The horse is out of the gate. She and her publicist need to only look at themselves as to why these stories are still running. She should of just said whether she felt it or not I wish Brad and his family the best and move on but she just couldn’t stop herself. Ugh

doesn’t matter Leah, they(paps, rags, perez) were doing this crap for years and will continue to do this crap for years. They will run stories on her and Brad and she hates Angie, even if she up and gets marriage, because afterall, she will be a beard in the marriage. She will never ever ever get over brad. she must go home and stomp her feet and eat gallons of ice cream, etc. etc. etc. until Hollywood finds another menage a trois to fit the profile

  • faboosh

agreed. people will always continue to make up stories about her no matter what. that’s why we need you, gossipcop!

Gossipcop, you’re kinda sorta being NAIVE. Perhaps Page Six went with the story because they know very VERY well, just what her PR rep (their good friend Stephen Huvane) wanted them to go to print with. It’s a plant from Aniston’s rep, to work the pity angle and once again put her on Pitt’s coattails, just after her crappy rom-com BOMBED. It deflects attention from her own bad news, and gets people to side up into ‘Teams,’ again. Huvane has done this for 5 years running now, if you’re going to get into this game – you can’t become beholden to these shark PR flacks who play sneaky & dirty for their lame clients.
