Taylor Swift fans in Washington, D.C. got an extra-special forecast on Monday, when meteorologist Mike Thomas delivered a weather report that was made up of the superstar’s lyrics. Watch below!

Swift is set to play the first of two shows at Nationals Park on Monday night, but rain in the area earlier in the day threatened to put a damper on the outdoor event. Thomas, the FOX 5 DC weatherman, sought to comfort “Swifties” by doing a segment in which he updated everyone on the weather by using the singer’s lyrics and song titles. The creative report referenced songs old and new, including “Fearless,” “I Knew You Were Trouble,” “22,” “Mean,” “Blank Space,” “Shake It Off,” and “Out of the Woods.

Swift took notice of Thomas’ unique effort, and gave him a shout-out on Twitter. The pop star tweeted before hitting the stage, “Never change, Mike the weather man. Never change. #1989TourWashingtonDC.”

As he does the morning shift, Thomas was actually asleep when Swift’s tweet came through, but of course he was woken up to be told that the songstress shared his forecast. “Just woke up to my phone going crazy because @taylorswift13 tweeted my forecast. Wow Speechless. How am I supposed to get back to sleep now?” tweeted Thomas.

The back-to-back Washington, D.C. concerts come after Swift’s successful back-to-back turns at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. As Gossip Cop reported, the two sold-out shows included a number of celebrity guests, including Nick Jonas, The Weeknd, Heidi Klum, Lena Dunham, Gigi Haidi, the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team, and many more. Maybe Thomas could be a special guest in D.C. if he stays awake? Check out the video below!
