Taylor Swift: Next Album Will Be About “Crash-and-Burn Heartbreak”

(Vogue)

Which ex-boyfriend is Taylor Swift going to write a song about next?

The singer covers Vogue’s February issue, and tells the mag her next album will be about an “earth-shattering… absolute crash-and-burn heartbreak.”

While Swift doesn’t reveal the name of the heartbreaker, she does give a few clues, saying the romance was “not recent,” and alludes to the fact that she was very upset last Christmas, which was around the same time that Jake Gyllenhaal ended their relationship.

Asked if she’s currently dating anyone, the songstress divulges, “I got nothing going on! I just don’t really feel like dating. I really have this great life right now, and I’m not sad and I’m not crying this Christmas, so I am really stoked about that.”

When the interviewer questions her, “Were you crying last Christmas?” Swift responds, “I am not gonna go into it! It’s a sad story!”

The “Love Story” singer, whose exes include Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas, and (allegedly) John Mayer, tells the mag she’s learned a few things about love along the way.

Some of the “red flags” she’s come to recognize as deal-breakers are if a guy is “obsessed with privacy,” falls in love with her based on her Wikipedia page, is threatened by her or “if they make me feel like I am some sort of princessy diva.”

The mag hits newsstands January 24.

Ha! It’s about Selena Gomez. Naive fools.

Again? Doe this person not have anything else to write about….her gig is becoming very tedious…same melody, same storyline, different guy…give it a rest, Taylor…move beyond Junior High and maybe you will be better received by people older than 10…

    As usual…you are a completely stupid commenter…..

Ok, we got the idea Taylor. Men have wronged you….now move on please.

This “absolute crash-and-burn heartbreaking” thing is ANNOYING. You will full of it very soon, if you are not some masochist. Why do sing about it? Isn’t there enough pain in the world? Singers need the limit: one heartbreaking song per year. And it has to be cool, like “Cry me a river”. Or “What goes around comes around”.

It almost seems like she’s not a happy person because most of her songs are about heartbreak and people doing her wrong. I like her songs, but she’s becoming so predictable.
Example: For Keyshia Cole’s first album or so, most of it was about heartbreak or something along that line. After she became comfortable in her skin, not to mention she had a baby & got married, she started writing happier music. I think she needs to change it up some, what does writing about devastating heartbreak all the time tell her fans?

A full album about Jake Gyllenhaal? Bloody well, that will be boring!

I am a huge fan of the guy (and will probably be pretty upset if he would leave me) but even I couldn’t spend so much time thinking/talking/writing about the same guy…
Makes me wonder what she wants to achieve – surely not get him back?? A new album hit I suppose!

P.S. Do you guys think he is worried? And which of Taylor’s dating tips you think is about Jake? My vote is all…

Agree. She’s never going to mature musically if she’s still focusing on writing high-school melodies. She’s had great success with it so she probably feels no need to change the formula. It is tiring though, especially when you look at what an 18 year old Fiona Apple accomplished with Tidal.

I’m older then ten and I can’t wait. I love the fact that Taylor isn’t afraid of putting her relationships into song. You go girl.

I love Taylor even though she sounds like shit live but I am so tired of her high school boy drama. What about empowering the female young girls who look up to you? Stop focusing your life on boys and heartbreak. Its time to grow up you’re not in high school anymore. I agree she is getting predictable and when you start to put your business out there all the time well how does she expect to even have a good relationship, everyone is probably afraid she’ll write about them. Other than that, she looks amazing she truly is beautiful.
