Taylor Swift In Vogue Australia: “I Am So Lucky People Seem To Like Me Right Now”
Taylor Swift has scored the November cover of Vogue Australia, telling the magazine, “I want to surprise, not shock.”
Of course, Swift’s career has managed to do both. She’s had record-breaking success across the globe, but the superstar is cognizant of the fact that it can all change. “I am so lucky that people seem to like me right now but in no way, shape or form is it a permanent thing,” she says. “And I think being aware of that is what keeps you on the game.”
Swift further argues it’s an “illusion” that she’s “unstoppable.” She tells the magazine, “The public could change their minds about me tomorrow. Things are good right now but I’m never going to be stupid, foolish or ignorant enough to think I have control over the public.”
So, what is in Swift’s control? “Making good music,” she says. And that she does. Swift, however, reiterates her plans to “take a break” after her “1989 World Tour” wraps. The singer first made that revelation in her NME cover story last week. The full Vogue Australia issue will hit newsstands and October 19. TELL US: What do you think of Swift’s take on her career?
