Taylor Swift brought down the house with her first-ever live performance of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.

Wearing her signature stripes, the singer belted out the breakup tune with the conviction of a woman scorned, then ended her performance by leaping out into the crowd.

OMG the worst song ever, what was that? ever and ever and Ever !!geez. You are rich enough Taylor, and you are what 20+ get a professional song writer girl, my 3 year old can make better lyrics than that

  • javi

the song sucks but hey her fans keep buying her records for some reason.

Why don’t you write a song for her i bet you can’t even a write a song or sing it

  • very well

    hi well,
if your daughter can write better, i’m sure u will be rich by now..if not just shut up and listen and chill

  • Anonymous

That was not much of a song… but the kids will like it, so few words.

I bet this is Pattinson’s favorite song right now, ha ha.

Why should anyone shut up and what does this have to do with someone’s daughter writing better? This is a horrible song and there is nothing wrong with people expressing their opinion about it. If she can put this crap out and sell it good for her. But that does not change the fact that it is crappy stuff. But her legs are great. Would love them wrapped around me.

Yes it is a bad song and I am no fan. But I am not sure what her being rich and her age have to do with getting a professional song writer. That is a really stupid comment and your writing sucks. Her fans like her juvenile writing. It is actually refreshing that she writes her own music. Unlike most of the other pop stars of the past 10+- years. For that she earns a lot of respect.

This song was clearly written to be a teen hit, and she will find much success with it. It wasn’t written to appeal to the people who see themselves as serious music buffs, or really to anyone over the age of 20. If you look at it for what it is intended to be, you could appreciate that Taylor is talented, and quite a savvy business woman. She knows exactly who she was intending to reach with this, and it’s “mission accomplished” from where I sit. Also, if I had teenagers, I’d be happy that they were listening to something like this instead of music full of sex and violence.

  • Edel

    very well stated!

  • gg

totally agree. she has figured out what sells, and how to sell it without selling out on her sexuality. when i first heard it i thought “that’s strange, she’s 22, and it sounds so…. high school.” but then realized… ah, she knows what she’s doing! she’s #1 again. smart girl.

she’s so much more different than in her other performances. i feel like she’s a lot more confident (not that she was never confident) just more confident. totally different personality or maybe the song just gave her that different personality.

  • guest

She knows who her base is and they are who she panders and appeals to. I don’t like this song or much of other music but I’m over the age of 16. You could probably call her a sellout but then again she is a multi-millionaire so who am I to talk?

  • http://twitter.com/daintylynda Lynda Appell

Yes she writes what she feels will sell. But isn’t that what every singer songwriter does? Besides her singing is quite impressive. Yes I am a fan of Taylor Swift so my comments are not objective in any way,

  • marissa

#1 again? this was her first number one song lol
and you would think someone who is past the age of 14 could write a song better than this – i mean look at taylor who is 22 and she writes this and adele is 23 and she writes a song like rolling in the deep

ppl need to just accept the fact that this song sucks

  • Marissa Is Dumb

    You’re a moron! Nuff said!

  • Carleen

Wow that sucked!!!….Strait up GOOFY…..No wonder ratings are down
