Man Held Outside Taylor Swift’s L.A. Home By Police
Taylor Swift may have had an unwanted visitor on Wednesday. Police briefly held a man outside Swift’s Los Angeles home after neighbors complained about an individual lurking in the area, Gossip Cop confirms.
At around 4:30 p.m., the man was detained and questioned by police. It’s unclear what was discussed during the investigation, but we’re told the individual was taken to a local police station, but not charged with a crime and later released.
It’s unknown whether Swift was in her home at the time of the incident. She will be in Los Angeles in the coming weeks for the Grammys, which are set for February 15.
A rep for Swift tells Gossip Cop, “This is why it’s irresponsible for the media to publish the addresses or recent real estate transactions of celebrities.” We, of course, never give specifics related to the private property of stars’ homes beyond mentioning only the city or state in which the residence is located.
This is not the first disturbing incident to take place at one of Swift’s houses. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, in 2013 a trespasser actually swam up to the singer’s Rhode Island beach home. The following year, three individuals were arrested for allegedly throwing beer bottles at the property and verbally assaulting her security.
Gossip Cop will update as more information emerges.
