Taylor Swift Raps, Faceplants On Treadmill In New Apple Music Ad – WATCH VIDEO!
Taylor Swift raps and hilariously faceplants on a treadmill in a new Apple Music ad released on Friday. Watch below!
In the commercial, Swift promotes the Apple Music service by showing how easy it is to use while working out. Clad in fitness gear, the superstar adjusts her headphones while on a treadmill and mumbles that she hates cardio. She then uses her iPhone to check out the “#GymFlow,” a specific “activity” playlist for running on Apple Music.
Swift selects Drake and Future’s “Jumpman,” and begins doing a spot-on rap-along as the song plays. But rapping and running is tricky. And as the singer gets more into the track, she ends up wiping out.
Yes, Swift loses her balance and falls face-first onto the treadmill before sliding off to the ground. But the music is what matters, so she just keeps on rapping. The ad’s tagline: “Distractingly good.”
The funny clip is actually even more amusing knowing it actually happened to Swift during a real workout. In tweeting out the video, she noted, “Based on true events. #TAYLORvsTREADMILL.” And interestingly, the Swift-Apple partnership doesn’t seem to be an April Fool’s prank.
The two parties had a very public spat last year when Swift wrote an open letter criticizing Apple for not paying artists appropriately for Apple Music contributions. Within hours, the company changed its policy. With the rift patched up, Swift released her “1989 World Tour” concert documentary through Apple last December. And now you can check out “Taylor Vs. Treadmill” below!
