Taylor Swift Reportedly Joining The Voice As Advisor
Taylor Swift is reportedly joining “The Voice” as an advisor for the upcoming Season 7. It has not been confirmed — Gossip Cop has reached out for comment.
According to Us Weekly, Swift has signed on for the role, and will help to mentor contestants across all four teams, much like Chris Martin did in the show’s sixth season. Veteran coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are being joined by Gwen Stefani and Pharrell for the hit series’ new installment, which premieres in September.
“The Voice” has had a slew of other celebrity guests over the years, with stars coming in and pairing up with a coach to exclusively mentor the contestants on that particular team. That includes Robin Thicke, Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, Alanis Morissette, Mary J. Blige, Miguel, Miranda Lambert, Babyface, Ne-Yo, Monica, Joel Madden, Rob Thomas, Jennifer Hudson, Pat Monahan of Train, Jewel, Billy Joe Armstrong, Lionel Richie, Ed Sheeran, Jill Scott, Kelly Clarkson, Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, Cher, Michael Buble, and The Band Perry.
Swift herself previously appeared on the NBC music competition in season 4 for as an adviser for Usher. That same season, Pharrell worked with Usher’s team, too… and now he’s a coach himself.
