Taylor Swift had a dream come true on Friday when Steven Tyler joined her for a duet of “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” at her “1989 World Tour” concert in Nashville. Watch below!

Tyler was one of three surprise musical guests at the Bridgestone Arena, along with Allison Krauss and Kelsea Ballerini. As he always does, the Aerosmith frontman took the stage with his own scarf-decorated microphone stand. Together he and Swift belted out one of the most famous songs of all time.

She tweeted after the concert, “Singing ‘I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing’ with @IamStevenT was an honor. So inspired by how sweet he was to all of us.” She further wrote on Instagram, “The incredible @iamstevent tonight singing ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.’ Magical things going down on this tour.” Magical indeed.

The special performance came almost three years after Swift wrote on Twitter, “I feel like I’d be more understood if people knew ‘I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’ by Aerosmith is how most of my emotions sound in my head.” Now, in reference to that message, Tyler wrote to the songstress, “WELL MA DARLIN’…YOU SURE WERE OVERSTOOD TONIGHT! A++…EPIC SHOW…UNTIL NEXTIME…”

Tyler, who recently segued into country music, further posted, “HOLY SWIFT!!! @TAYLORSWIFT13 …SHINED SO HOT N BRIGHT SHE MADE THE SUN JEALOUS!!! THANKS FOR THE FUN.” Swift has another show at the Bridgestone Arena on Saturday night, but it remains to see who her guests will be. Check out clips of the performance with Tyler below!
