Taylor Swift Performs “Shut Up And Dance” With Walk The Moon At Boston “1989” Concert — SEE VIDEO/PHOTOS!
On Friday night, Taylor Swift wanted everyone to just shut up and dance. Thankfully, though, only half of that request was actually followed by the tens of thousands of fans who let loose during a surprise Walk The Moon appearance at Swift’s Boston concert. See photos and video below!
The singer’s “1989 World Tour” stopped at Gillette Stadium, where she continued her tradition of bringing out a fellow artist for a collaboration. This time, the guys from Walk The Moon took the stage, set to perform one of the biggest songs of the last year. And while the crowd didn’t shut up at all, instead singing along to the track’s catchy chorus, you better believe everyone danced.
Swift posted a photo on Instagram afterward showing her hugging the band, and she wrote in the caption, “Thaks @WALKTHEMOONband for surprising the Boston crowd with ‘Shut Up and Dance’!!! 60,000 person dance party.” For its part, Walk The Moon tweeted, “Boston. BOSTON! BAAAAAWSTAN! That was so [amazing]!!! @taylorswift13 you are perfect. THANK YOU!”
Swift also shared an overhead shot of the jam-packed stadium, which was lit up via the flashing bracelets given to every attendee. “Fell in love with 60,000 people in Boston tonight,” she wrote. She’ll have the opportunity to fall in love with 60,000 more on Saturday when she holds a second concert at the Foxborough venue. The shows mark the superstar’s first appearance since her feud earlier this week with Nicki Minaj. Check out the video and photos below!
