Taylor Swift Shark Video: Dig At Katy Perry During “Bad Blood” Performance (VIDEO)
During Saturday’s concert at Gillette Stadium, Swift was singing “Bad Blood,” the hit song said to be about Perry, when a shark briefly appeared behind the superstar, leading her to crack up laughing. Concertgoers and fans online immediately speculated that the shark was a reference to “Left Shark,” the dancer who famously upstaged Perry during her Super Bowl Halftime Show performance earlier this year. It’s hard to tell if one of Swift’s dancers purposefully put on a shark costume for the unexpected moment, or if it was a screen projection directly behind her, and Gossip Cop has reached out for clarification.
Regardless, the incident came just a few days after tensions between Perry and Swift heated up again. As Gossip Cop reported, in the midst of Swift’s now-resolved feud with Nicki Minaj, Perry tweeted, “Finding it ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…” The message was referencing both Swift’s claim that Minaj was pitting women against each other by complaining about the VMAs nominations, and the success Swift has had a “Bad Blood,” a song that is about enemies.
It’s worth noting, however, that others have suggested the shark was just part of an ongoing prank from Swift’s dancers, citing a lobster that appeared at Friday’s show at Gillette. Watch the video of a shark appearing during Swift’s performance of “Bad Blood” below, and tell us what you think.
