At only 19 years of age, Taylor Swift has just entered the history books by claiming Billboard’s record for the longest charting album of this century.
Taylor’s self-titled debut was released in October of 2006 and, to date, it has spent a record 157 weeks on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart. That is better than this decade’s previous record holder, Nickelback.
That’s not the only record she holds. Taylor has also had the most Top 10 debuts in a calendar year. Not too shabby.
This week, Taylor will do the double duties of hosting and performing on “Saturday Night Live.” Only a few others have done that, including Janet Jackson, Sting, and Justin Timberlake.
