Taylor Swift Surprises Kids At Ryan Seacrest Studio Opening At Nashville Hospital – WATCH VIDEO!
Through his Ryan Seacrest Foundation, Seacrest has funded state-of-the-art broadcast studios built in pediatric hospitals across the country. The specially-constructed facilities allows children to learn radio, television, and new media skills while hospitalized. The first such studio opened at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in 2010, and now Seacrest was to officially unveil the 10th at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt today.
While the “American Idol” host was on-hand for the ribbon-cutting ceremony, none of the patients knew Swift would be in attendance, too. “Perhaps you’ll recognize my friend,” Seacrest said as Swift made her surprise arrival. The superstar gave a speech, played with the young kids, and participated in the new studio’s very first broadcast.
Seacrest posted the above photo on Instagram afterward, writing, “@taylorswift surprise of the century?! Thx for being part of our 10th opening today and everything you do for the kids #SeacrestStudios.” But while Swift’s appearance may have been a surprise, her commitment to aiding sick children is no secret.
As Gossip Cop has reported, Swift has visited pediatric wards in hospitals in many states, often bringing presents. This time, the singer signed autographs and gave out gift bags. Watch footage from the event below! NOTE: Video is no longer available.
