Taylor Swift: ‘People Wouldn’t Listen To My Songs If They Weren’t Bitter, Sad’ (VIDEO)
Taylor Swift talks about playing a young woman who lacks emotions in her upcoming film The Giver in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.
It was a challenge for her because Swift explains, “To me emotion is such an important part of my life, and now I guess my job.”
The “Love Story” singer notes, “People wouldn’t listen to my songs if they weren’t heartbroken, or deeply affected and hurt, and jilted and sad and bitter and all those wonderful things that I write songs about.”
Swift also dishes about what it was like working opposite Jeff Bridges, who plays her father in the film.
The Giver hits theaters on August 15.
