Taylor Swift “Out Of The Woods” Grammys Video: Watch 2016 Grammy Awards Opening Performance Here!
Taylor Swift opened Monday’s 2016 Grammys with a performance of “Out Of The Woods.”
It was only announced this past Thursday that Swift would be among the performers for the 58th annual Grammy Awards. She was chosen to open the CBS broadcast, which is a huge honor. The performance is her first on the Grammys stage since 2014, and the second time she’s opened, having previously kicked off the 2013 ceremony with “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
Opening performance slot or not, it was a big night for Swift either way. She headed into the ceremony with seven nominations, tied with The Weeknd and only behind Kendrick Lamar. The singer wound up taking home three trophies, including Album of the Year for 1989.
Of course, Swift and Lamar are also collaborators, and their hit “Bad Blood” took home the award for Best Music Video at the Grammys Premiere Ceremony. “Bad Blood” was also up for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, but lost out to Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk.” However, Swift also won the Grammy for Best Pop Vocal Album for 1989, with her other nominations being for “Blank Space,” which scored nods for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Pop Solo Performance.
Overall in her career, Swift has been nominated a whopping 29 times. Before tonight, the singer had won seven trophies, but following the 2016 awards, Swift is now the winner of 10 Grammys and the only woman to win Album of the Year twice.
