Taylor Swift And Selena Gomez Did NOT Ignore Each Other At Oscars Party, Despite Report
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez did NOT ignore each other at the Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday, nor are the two friends “fighting,” despite a made-up webloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.
According to HollywoodLife, Swift and Gomez were “never seen together” at the Oscars after-party, but instead Gomez hung out with her friend Josephine Skriver, while Swift was with her brother Austin. But the webloid then completely contradicts itself by quoting a so-called “eyewitness” as saying, “There wasn’t one time that I didn’t see [Gomez and Austin] together.” Huh? If Gomez and Austin supposedly spent the entire night together, and Swift was also with her brother, how exactly did Gomez and Swift manage to never cross paths?
In a follow-up article, the confused webloid quotes another supposed (read: fabricated) source as claiming that Gomez and Austin “were having a great time together” and “Taylor was also with them.” Wait? If Swift and Gomez were “never seen together,” as HollywoodLies first claimed, how can it then state, “Taylor was also with them”?
Basically, HollywoodLife can’t keep track of its lies. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, and we’re assured there’s simply “no truth” to the webloid’s claim that Swift and Gomez gave each other the cold shoulder at the Oscars.
Of course, Gossip Cop has repeatedly called out site for trying to create a nonexistent feud between Swift and Gomez. We’ve corrected multiple stories claiming Swift was ending her friendship with the fellow singer because the latter sometimes keeps in touch with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. The webloid’s latest account of a supposed Oscar party feud is once again entirely made up.
