Taylor Swift: Being A Pop Star Is “Not That Hard”
Taylor Swift says being a pop star and touring around the world is “not that hard.” The singer, who took home eight Billboard Music Awards trophies earlier this month, admits in a new interview that her job can be somewhat easy.
“It’s not that hard. I’m telling you now it’s really not,” admits Swift in an interview with BBC Radio 1. “Sometimes I really don’t think it’s that hard at all.” Swift says the best part of what she does is when she comes off a really good performance. “When you walk off stage and you’re drenched in sweat and you’re tired and your legs hurt… It feels like you’re really working for the job,” notes Swift, adding, “It’s nice to feel tired after a show. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I’m finally doing something.’ I really like the feeling of: ‘You know what? I’ve been busy. I deserve watching two hours of TV at the end of the night.'”
Even though the pop star says she thinks her job isn’t all that difficult, Swift admits she still gets nervous sometimes, like when she kicked off her 1989 world tour in Tokyo at the 55,000-seat Tokyo Dome. “We usually start in a smaller arena,” explains Swift, noting, “I do get nervous about things like that because it does matter.” What do you think of Taylor Swift saying being a pop star is “not that hard”?
