Taylor Swift Mobbed At Japan Airport, Reportedly Causes Flight Delays (VIDEO)
Taylor Swift was mobbed at Japan’s Narita International Airport on Sunday, when she arrived just ahead of her “1989 World Tour” kickoff. See video below.
As Gossip Cop reported, Swift’s new headlining tour is slated to being in Tokyo on Tuesday, following months of anticipation. In fact, one backup dancer was so excited to recently find out he was selected to join the more than 70 concerts around the globe that he broke down crying immediately after telling his mom, who wailed with happiness. Of course, many Swift fans can hardly wait, including those who showed up at the airport to greet her.
In footage from the scene, Swift makes her way through a sea of Swifities, signing autographs and posing for photos as everyone cheers and snaps pictures. One person even gave the singer a gorgeous bouquet of flowers, and another amusingly held up a sign that read, “Hug My Daughter.” And according to TMZ, the crowd was large enough to impact the airport’s operations. The site says at least two plane arrivals were delayed due to the throngs of fans taking up space inside the facility.
Japan has actually been a hot spot for a number of recent concerts. One Direction performed in the Asian country in March, Katy Perry was there last week, and Sam Smith, pending his recovery from a vocal hemorrhage, is scheduled to take the stage at the end of this coming week. Interestingly, none of those acts played at the same venue as each other, nor will Swift, who will be performing at Tokyo Dome. Check out the video of her crazy arrival below.
