Taylor Swift Mean Girl

Taylor Swift is not a “mean girl” who sets rules for her celebrity friends, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this story. We’re told it’s simply ridiculous.

According to Star, Swift has made it clear that she’s the leader of her group of famous gal pals, including Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid, Martha Hunt, and Karlie Kloss. A so-called Swift “insider” tells the tabloid that when those women attended Swift’s concert in London on June 27, “Taylor had a dress code for [them] to make sure she wasn’t upstaged.” The supposed insider further alleges that “[Her friends] were told to stand a certain number of feet behind Taylor at all times, not to speak unless spoken to, and not to discuss Taylor’s private life in interviews.”

The tabloid, which dubs Swift, “Taylor the Terrible,” claims that her friends are becoming fed up with her bullying ways. Star quotes its “source” as saying, “Gigi was talking trash behind Taylor’s back. She got Kendall and Cara all riled up.” That same “insider” then labels Swift a “control freak,” who is “going to end up with very few friends left if she doesn’t change her ways.”

Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this false tabloid report. First off, Swift is well-known for valuing her female friendships. Additionally, if this really happened, why is it only coming to light a month later, and Star (of all places) is the only outlet to have this information? And why is it that Swift’s friends keep hanging out with her? Regardless, Gossip Cop fact-checked this “mean girl” story, and we’re exclusively told it’s completely absurd and untrue.
