Taylor Swift and John Mayer NOT Reuniting For Duet, Despite Report (EXCLUSIVE)
Taylor Swift does NOT want to “reunite” with John Mayer, despite a new In Touch report claiming the pop star is hoping to collaborate professionally with her ex-boyfriend. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the rumor.
According to the outlet, Swift “wants to rekindle her relationship with John… in the studio.” A so-called “music insider” tells In Touch, “She’s reached out to him to do a duet. She thinks it’s time to bury the hatchet.” The tabloid refers to the pair’s contentious history, including Swift’s 2010 song about Mayer, “Dear John,” which he later admitted “really humiliated” him.
Outlets like HollywoodLife ran the In Touch rumor, of course, because a Swift-Mayer “reunion” makes for a good, sensational headline. But this is In Touch we’re talking about. This is the same outlet that once falsely claimed Swift was battling Kendall Jenner over Harry Styles. This is the same magazine that tried to start a feud between Swift and Kacey Musgraves. This is the same publication that recently shamed Swift about her body.
This latest In Touch story is just more of the same bogus sensationalism. A recording industry insider says the rumored Swift-Mayer duet is “100 percent false,” telling Gossip Cop exclusively that she never reached out to him for a musical reunion.
