Taylor Swift Lip Syncs Jimmy Eat World In New Apple Music Commercial (VIDEO)
Taylor Swift lip syncs Jimmy Eat World in her second Apple Music commercial, which premiered on Monday. Watch below!
In the new advertisement, Swift is getting ready for a night out when she uses the Apple Music app on her phone to set the mood. With the service’s “activity” playlists, she finds Jimmy Eat World’s “The Middle” under the “Getting Ready To Go Out” category. The superstar exclaims, “Oh my god, I love this song! Used to listen to this in middle school!”
Swift plays the track and promptly starts to rock out, using her lipstick as a microphone. She expertly fake-sings along with every word, and even pulls off some choreography. The impromptu performance ends with Swift dropping the mic… er, her lipstick.
In fact, the commercial is actually called “Taylor Mic Drop.” A title card at the end stresses, “Every song for every moment.” “The Middle” came out in November 2001, but became a monster hit in early 2002. At the time, Swift was only 13, and hadn’t yet started her record-breaking career.
As Gossip Cop reported, Swift’s first Apple ad, “Taylor Vs. Treadmill,” debuted earlier this month. It’s unclear if there’s more to come. Check out the new video below!
