According to Pollstar, 1989 brought in a massive $250.4 million during its run from May through December 2015. Nearly $200 million of that total came from North America alone, setting a new record. The tour featured songs from Swift’s album of the same name, including “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space” and “Bad Blood.”
And, of course, the tour became infamous for Swift bringing out on stage surprise celebrity guests at each show. Some of the stars who stopped by the tour included Justin Timberlake, Nick Jonas, Julia Roberts, Kobe Bryant, Chris Rock, Ellen DeGeneres, Mick Jagger, Miranda Lambert, and naturally, Swift’s entire girl squad.
Coming in at number two was AC/DC whose Rock or Bust tour brought in $180 million. One Direction’s On the Road Again tour nabbed third place with a healthy $158.8 million. The number four spot went to U2’s Innocence + Experience tour, which grossed $152.2 million, and rounding out the top five were the Foo Fighters, whose Sonic Highways concerts earned $127 million.
