Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez Separate Fourth Of July Parties Twisted By HollywoodLife
Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez threw separate parties on the Fourth of July, but it’s NOT because there are any issues between the good friends. HollywoodLife is well aware of the reason that the two pals didn’t spend the holiday together, but the webloid still decided to mislead its readers by teasing a fake feud for clickbait.
On Monday, Swift threw a big July 4th beach bash near her Rhode Island home, along with boyfriend Tom Hiddleston and many members of her famous squad. Meanwhile, Gomez celebrated Independence Day with a pool party on the west coast. She wasn’t able to attend Swift’s party because she has a concert in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday, and couldn’t logistically fly cross-country in time to make her show.
But of course, HollywoodLife sensationalized the situation by suggesting that there’s “some bad blood going on between” Swift and Gomez, further asking, “So, wait, why the heck were Selena and Taylor hosting two separate events when they’re supposed to be besties?!” That hyped-up question, however, is entirely rhetorical, as the site goes on to answer it.
“Don’t worry, guys: It doesn’t seem like there’s any drama here,” the webloid writes, before explaining, “Sel just has a concert in Arizona on July 5, so she probably wouldn’t have been able to make it back to the west coast on time! Phew.” Naturally, the webloid doesn’t give this valid explanation until the final paragraph of the article, well after accomplishing its clickbait goal of insinuating that there’s a rift between Swift and Gomez, even though the site knows better.
Unfortunately, Gossip Cop has had to repeatedly call out HollywoodLife for attempting to create a nonexistent feud between the two singers and friends. We have previously corrected the site on several occasions for falsely claiming that Justin Bieber had created problems in Swift and Gomez’s relationship. Every single story that alleged the women were in a “feud” or no longer pals was a lie. This latest story is just more clickbait from HollywoodLies.
