Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian Feud: Stars Take Sides
As Gossip Cop reported, Sunday’s “Keeping up with the Kardashians” had to do with the drama surrounding Kanye West’s controversial “Famous” lyrics and Kardashian’s GQ interview, in which she slammed Swift for claiming she was unaware of the song’s content. After the episode aired, Kardashian posted on Snapchat the call between West and Swift about the “Famous” lyrics. Swift then released a statement noting the video doesn’t actually show any discussion about the line that actually made her upset.
The new round of drama quickly took over social media, particularly when other celebrities decided to get involved. Swift “squad” member Martha Hunt posted in her pal’s defense, “It’s pathetic how quick our culture is to sensationalize a fabricated story. Take interest in the real problems going on. Spread love.” And Swift’s best friend, Selena Gomez, tweeted, “There are more important things to talk about… Why can’t people use their voice for something that f*cking matters? Truth is last thing we need right now is hate, in any form.” She went on to add, “This industry is so disappointing yet the most influential smh.”
Chloe Grace Moretz, who has also feuded with Kardashian but has admitted to being against Swift’s “squad” concept, made similar points. “Everyone in this industry needs to get their heads out of a hole and look around to realize what’s ACTUALLY happening in the REAL world,” she posted. “Stop wasting your voice on something so petulant and unimportant.”
That didn’t sit well with Khloe Kardashian, who of course has her sister’s back. She replied to Moretz, “Is this the a hole you’re referring to @ChloeGMoretz???” Accompanying the tweet was two photos, one showing the actress is a bikini, and the other showing a woman from behind whose butt was exposed while frolicking in the ocean.
Moretz, however, pointed out in response, “Fact check: first photo is me filming my movie Neighbors 2, the second photo is some girl who was wrongfully photographed.” Indeed, the star is wearing blue bikini bottoms in pictures from the film. The unidentified girl whom Khloe mistakenly thought was Moretz has on a red pair.
But even before that exchange, Khloe was expressing approval of her older sister’s actions. “Kim is a savage! Don’t f*ck with her man hunni,” she tweeted. And in reference to the aforementioned footage blowing up online via Snapchat, she added, “Man, now I really can’t snap until tomorrow.”
Kardashian may also have more than just her sibling in her corner. Demi Lovato, Zendaya, and Pharrell all reportedly liked tweets that dragged Swift and/or showed support for the Kimye side of things. That said, Swift friend Ruby Rose called out Khloe for “bullying” Moretz, and posted a message on Instagram that echoed Gomez’s points. Gomez is actually pictured above with the Kardashian sisters back in 2010.
