Taylor Swift Did NOT Cry At Grammys Over Kanye West Drama, Despite Report
Taylor Swift did NOT cry at the Grammy Awards on Monday night because of the recent drama involving Kanye West, despite a made-up webloid report. Gossip Cop can bust this claim. We’re told it’s “not true.”
As Gossip Cop reported earlier, Swift was caught by one of the Grammy cameras wiping away tears directly after her opening performance of “Out of the Woods.” The reason the singer was upset is because she missed a note during her song. Of course, Swift still got a great reaction from the audience and very few people even noticed her minor mistake.
But now according to HollywoodLife, Swift wasn’t really crying about her performance, and instead broke down because West’s new track “Famous” was on her mind. As Gossip Cop noted, the rapper’s song features the lyric, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous.” A so-called “source” tells the webloid, “It was such an important night, a culmination of a year that was astronomical. Then to be side swiped by Kanye West, it all came to a head all at once.”
Swift, of course, went on to win Album of the Year for 1989 later that night, and during her acceptance speech, she fired back at West in the classiest of ways. The superstar directed her message to “all the young women out there,” saying, “People along the way will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame… Focus on the work and don’t let those people sidetrack you.”
It should be noted, Swift stayed strong and didn’t shed a single tear during her speech, which not only alluded to West, but was arguably the most emotional moment of the night for her. If the singer was as shaken up by West as HollywoodLies claims, it seems unusual that she’d be so stoic throughout her speech. Regardless, Gossip Cop is told by a source close to the singer that the webloid’s claim she was crying at the Grammys about West is simply “not true.”
What’s also significant is that the webloid makes up a lot of stories about Swift, and has been caught repeatedly for fabricating tales about the singer. The site printed no less than a dozen stories about Swift and best friend Selena Gomez being in a (nonexistent) “feud.” All those stories were complete lies, much like the current one which absurdly claims to know what was in Swift’s mind at that precise moment at the Grammys.
