Did Taylor Swift Really “Crash” Kennedy Wedding?

“Taylor Swift crashed the Kennedy wedding in Boston over the weekend and did not leave after being twice asked to do so,” reports the Boston Herald.

The bride Kyle’s mother Victoria Gifford Kennedy claims that her nephew Conor Kennedy and Swift “texted me an hour before the wedding and asked if they could come” to the nuptials at the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel on August 18.

“I responded with a very clear ‘Please do not come.’ They came anyway,” she tells the paper.

Victoria continues, “I personally went up to Ms. Swift, whose entrance distracted the entire event, politely introduced myself to her, and asked her as nicely as I could to leave.”

“It was like talking to a ghost. She seemed to look right past me,” she adds.

But Swift’s rep tells Gossip Cop that there is “no truth” to Victoria’s version of events.

The rep says, “Taylor was invited to the wedding and the bride thanked her profusely for being there.”

Swift also spent the rest of the weekend with the Kennedys in Cape Cod, which would have been unlikely if she had really been kicked out of the family nuptials.

    Why the Boston Herald quote the mother of the bride if this wasn’t true? The Kennedy’s have spoken warmly about Taylor and I don’t think anything with this is personal. Sounds like they simply didn’t want Taylor’s celebrity status to overshadow the bride’s big day. It also sounds like there was some miscommunication going on as well, perhaps the music at the venue, etc. where Taylor didn’t hear what was said correctly (or just plain misunderstood). I really doubt there is any scandal or bad behavior on anyone’s part here.

    Also Cathy Lee Gifford said on her tv show, she was at the wedding and the bride and every one was so happy that her cousin & Taylor could be there. Vicky is the one who will do anything to trash Taylor because of her friendship with Ethyl. She has gone to to the gossip pages a few weeks ago to start trouble because Taylor is not a Kennedy so she has to pay to be a guest at the compound eventho taylor was renting a place already she is just a jealous trouble maker who likes her name in the Bosto society pages.

    And while a mother would be stressed about the logistics of the wedding going smoothly just about any bride would react warmly to a celebrity showing up at their wedding, so the story doesn’t have to necessarily be false.

    It bothers me that I care, but I think there must be something more to it than is being reported. Taylor Swift has built an empire on being a pretty, moderately talented singer with an extremely gentle, fairy-like sweetness—-I just don’t see her jeopardizing all that to crash a wedding where she was asked twice to leave. How far into the wedding did she get? Everyone seems to place her in the reception hall, not in the church or at the reception itself—perhaps a word or two from the BRIDE might be good here?

    Actually, I believe Connor didn’t want to leave and Taylor didn’t know what to do and she wouldn’t leave Connor!!! You can’t crash when you were invited and Connor was invited however didn’t RSVP…. I don’t know of a family that wouldn’t have had brought in two extra plate and been happy that they came especially after what Connor has been through – his mother’s suicide! I personally think they the bride’s mother and Kathie Lee have acted with no class and talking trash because it was Taylor a big star and not STOPPING to think how and what they are doing to CONNOR!

    What about Connor? He was invited and forgot to RSVP? So they didn’t crash the wedding and next what family wouldn’t have just had two extra seats added????? Connor, mother just died by suicide! What kind of family wouldn’t have had open arms to him????? I don’t know anyone/any family that would have made a big deal like I said they would have added two extra plates and been happy he was there! Wanting to show him LOVE!!!!!!!!

    yes and no! Connor was invited and forgot to RSVP! He is 18 and just lost his mother to suicide! So I don’t know of a person/family that wouldn’t have given him a break and just had them set two more plates as Taylor is his girlfriend! Connor most likely was socializing and Taylor just stay with him and didn’t know how to handle the situation…..she most likely did tell Connor let’s leave however we don’t know the whole story only the GOSSIP side…..

    I think Mommy was upset because the lime light was taken from her daughter; A daughter who was thrilled and excited to have Taylor there. What is wrong with some of these people, really ITS YOUR DAUGHTER’S WEDDING!!! She can invite whomever she wants to. Sheesh
