Happy Birthday Taylor Swift! Gossip Cop Blows Out 5 Wrong Rumors About Singer
Taylor Swift turns 26 on Sunday, and to celebrate her birthday, Gossip Cop looks back at five really wrong rumors about the singer that we exclusively “blew out.”
Gossip Cop exclusively debunked Star in November when it falsely claimed that Swift and ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal were making “secret phone calls” to each other. A mutual friend of Gossip Cop and Swift’s assured us that the tabloid report wss “not true” and the two were not speaking.
This past September, Gossip Cop busted OK! for an inaccurate report that alleged Swift and boyfriend Calvin Harris were on the verge of getting married and having a baby. The story, of course, was completely made-up. A source close to Swift confirmed to Gossip Cop that the claim was “B.S.”
That same month, In Touch published a ridiculous report that Swift and Selena Gomez were starring in a movie reboot of the ’70s sitcom “Laverne and Shirley.” Source close to Gomez and Swift exclusively told Gossip Cop there were no plans for the two to make a movie together based on the sitcom.
Gossip Cop also debunked Star when the tabloid tried to start relationship drama for Swift alleging that she was “getting cozy” with one of her 1989 World Tour backup dancers. A source close to Swift confirmed that there was no “secret backup boy,” and the story was “not true” about her cheating on Harris.
And finally, Gossip Cop busted a March 2015 In Touch report that Swift wanted to “reunite” with ex-boyfriend John Mayer for a duet in order to “bury the hatchet.” A recording industry insider told Gossip Cop the claim was “100 percent false,” and that Swift never reached out to him to record music.
Gossip Cop wishes Taylor Swift a happy and rumor-free birthday!
